About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate Learning and Care Support Assistant (LCSA) to join a specialist school in Hammersmith that caters to students with severe learning disabilities and complex needs. The school provides a nurturing, supportive environment for children and young people aged 5 to 19. If you have a background in healthcare or care and are passionate about making a positive difference in students' lives, this role offers a rewarding opportunity. You will assist students in both their academic and personal development, ensuring that their individual needs are met in a safe and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with severe learning disabilities and complex needs.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including manual handling and feeding.
- Support students with challenging behaviours and maintain a safe, structured learning environment.
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement personalized learning plans.
- Assist with any required medical care and support, including using communication aids (training provided).
- Ensure the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of students throughout the school day.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience in healthcare, care roles, or working with children with SEND is highly desirable.
