We are currently seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream primary school in Kidderminster to support a child 1-to-1 in an in-school resource hub aimed to support autistic children until the end of the academic year 2027 (July 2027) minimum. You’ll initially be working through Axcis Education, the UK’s leading SEND specialist staffing agency.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-to-1 support to a child with SEND in an in-school resource hub.
- Work within a mainstream primary setting to support autistic pupils.
- Collaborate with school staff and Axcis consultants to meet student needs.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting young people with SEND needs is compulsory.
- Willingness to consider applicants from care, residential support or similar backgrounds with a good understanding of SEND needs.
- Suitable for applicants prepared to undergo necessary compliance checks and DBS process as required.
Pay and Duration:
- Starting from £89 per day (PAYE). The rate increases in line with qualifications and experience.
- This assignment is until the end of the academic year 2027 (July 2027) minimum.
