We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist all‑age autism school in Hungerford. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people with autism by providing tailored support within a structured, nurturing and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small group support for students with autism and complex additional needs.
- Support students with classroom learning through personalised activities and interventions.
- Assist with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviour, using positive behaviour strategies.
- Help implement individual behaviour and support plans to promote emotional wellbeing and social development.
- Encourage communication, independence and engagement throughout the school day.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff to deliver high‑quality education and care.
About You
- Experienced in supporting children or young people with autism and/or SEND needs.
- Calm, resilient and confident in managing challenging behaviour.

- Passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential in a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
