Role Overview

Axcis Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support a child with an EHCP in year 3, starting September. The role is term time only, Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑3:30 pm, with students on a 1‑to‑1 basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1‑to‑1 support to a student with an EHCP, both in and outside the classroom, to promote learning and personal development.
  • Help the student settle into school life during this major transition.
  • Assist with daily tasks and learning activities to meet the pupil’s educational needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children on a 1‑to‑1 basis or in an educational setting.
  • Ability to establish rapport quickly and adapt to dynamic classroom situations.
  • Prepared to provide an up‑to‑date DBS check or allow Axcis to process one.
