Axcis Education is recruiting for a specialist SEND college in Newton‑Le‑Willows, supporting students aged 16‑25 with autism and additional learning needs. Starting in late June / early July 2026, this rewarding role involves supporting young adults as they develop independence, employability, and life skills through both classroom‑based and practical learning experiences.
The Role
- Support students with autism in classroom and vocational settings
- Encourage independence, communication, and social development
- Assist with life skills, employability, and enterprise activities
- Adapt support to meet individual EHCP outcomes
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Work closely with tutors, therapists, and support staff
Students regularly take part in practical activities such as running a student‑led café, outdoor projects, and employability‑based learning.

- Experience supporting young people with autism and/or additional needs
- A calm, patient, and supportive approach
