We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND / PMLD Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in the Harrow area on a full-time, ongoing basis from February half term. This role is based in a well-established special school supporting pupils aged 11–19 with complex learning needs, including profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism, and severe learning difficulties, all with Education, Health and Care Plans.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching and learning to pupils with complex needs
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual EHCP targets and learning styles
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and other professionals to support pupil progress
  • Promote communication, independence, wellbeing and engagement through inclusive practice
  • Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has experience working with SEND and/or PMLD pupils, or a strong interest in this area
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an Unqualified Teacher with relevant experience
  • Is patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education
  • Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with complex needs
