Are you a caring, enthusiastic, and passionate individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs? We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist education provision in Hampton, supporting pupils aged 4 to 11 years with a range of learning needs, including Autism and complex needs. This welcoming setting provides a supportive and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and achieve their individual goals. All pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), with staff working together to provide personalised support tailored to each child's needs.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally. You will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to create a positive learning environment where pupils feel safe, valued, and motivated to succeed. Your day will involve:

  • Supporting pupils with Autism, learning difficulties, and additional needs.
  • Providing classroom support to help children access lessons and activities.
  • Encouraging communication, confidence, and independence.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and understanding their individual needs.
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
  • Working alongside teachers and other professionals to deliver effective support.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Positive, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting children with SEND.
  • Caring, patient, and understanding.
  • Able to build strong and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Confident supporting children with a range of learning and communication needs.
  • Reliable, proactive, and willing to get involved in all aspects of school life.
  • Committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

Previous experience working within a SEN, education, care, or support setting is desirable, but we welcome applications from candidates with the right attitude and passion.
