About the Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary School Teacher for a rewarding opportunity within a vibrant school in Andover, Hampshire. The ideal candidate will possess Qualified Teacher Status and have experience or a strong interest in working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, particularly those with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that cater to the needs of the whole ability range within their class.
- Use appropriate strategies to engage and support students with ASC and SEMH, ensuring that they can access the curriculum effectively.
- Be responsible for the day-to-day management of the class and ensure that discipline is maintained.
- Carry out assessments of pupils' work and keep records of their progress and development.
- Regularly communicate with parents and guardians about their child's progress and participate in school events.
- Be willing to contribute to the school's extra-curricular activities program.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
