In close partnership with three well‑renowned primary schools in different areas of Gloucester, I am supporting them in their recruitment for Teaching Assistants to start in September. All positions are for the full academic year until July 2027 in the first instance.

  • Primary School near Innsworth - Full-time SEND Teaching Assistant: Support three children in years 4 and 5 with Social Emotional Mental Health needs (SEMH), trauma, attachment disorder, autism and ADHD. Must have previous experience with SEMH, autism and ADHD and be physically fit. Include de‑escalation techniques through football and outdoor play.
  • Primary School in Quedgeley - Full-time SEND Teaching Assistant: Provide 1-to-1 support for a child in year 2 during mornings and generalist support for a child in year 5 during afternoons. Morning support is 1-to-1; afternoon support is primarily generalist with occasional 1-to-1 as needed.
  • Primary School near Gloucester docks - Teaching Assistants:
    • General class Teaching Assistant (full‑time): Support year 2, in‑class support under the direction of the classroom teacher, including break time and lunch duty. Key stage 1 subject knowledge is ideal. Potential short‑intervention support may be required.
    • SEND Teaching Assistant (full‑time): Support two children in year 3 with SEMH needs, encouraging engagement and regulation through movement breaks and intuition. One pupil has a Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profile, the other an oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) profile. Prior experience with SEMH and challenging behaviours is mandatory.
    • Part‑time SEND Teaching Assistant: Wednesday to Friday. On Wednesdays and Fridays support a year 3 child with PDA one-to-one in the morning and a year 6 child working at a year 1 level in the afternoon. On Thursdays provide general class support for a year 4 class.
