Functional Skills Maths Teacher – Mornings Only – Leicester (LE3) Location: Leicester (LE3) Contract Type: Part-time (mornings only) Salary: £120 – £160 per day Axcis Education is working with an alternative provision in Leicester (LE3) to recruit a part-time Functional Skills Maths Teacher. This morning-only role suits someone who can deliver engaging, accessible content to students with SEMH and SEND who have struggled in mainstream education. The Role: You will: • Deliver Entry Level to Level 2 Functional Skills Maths in small group settings. • Create meaningful, real-world lesson content that builds confidence and life skills. • Work closely with LSAs and behaviour mentors to ensure student engagement. • Use creative and adaptive strategies to reduce maths-related anxiety. • Track progress and adjust teaching to meet a wide range of learning profiles. About You: • Qualified Maths teacher (QTS/QTLS preferred, but other qualifications considered). • Experience teaching Functional Skills Maths in a SEND or SEMH setting. • Confident differentiating for diverse academic and emotional needs. • Empathetic, patient, and enthusiastic about breaking down barriers to learning. • Available weekday mornings on a consistent basis.
