Functional Skills English Teacher – Mornings Only – Leicester (LE3) Location: Leicester (LE3) Contract Type: Part-time (mornings only) Salary: £120 – £160 per day Axcis Education is seeking a Functional Skills English Teacher to deliver engaging and accessible sessions in a Leicester (LE3) alternative provision. This part-time, mornings-only role is ideal for a passionate educator who enjoys working with small groups and learners who need second-chance support. The Role: You will: • Plan and deliver Functional Skills English from Entry Level to Level 2. • Adapt learning to support SEMH, ASD, and other learning needs. • Use relevant, practical content to improve reading, writing, and speaking skills. • Work with support staff to create a safe and structured learning space. • Track progress and adjust lessons based on student response and engagement. About You: • Qualified English teacher (QTS/QTLS preferred, but not essential). • Experience with Functional Skills or literacy intervention work. • Creative and flexible in lesson planning and delivery. • Confident building rapport with hard-to-reach learners. • Committed to inclusive, trauma-informed teaching.
