About the Role

We are looking for a vibrant and energetic Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join primary school settings in Nursery and Reception classes. If you love early childhood development, outdoor learning, and messy play, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the implementation of the EYFS curriculum through play‑based learning.
  • Leading small group activities focused on phonics, counting, and early literacy.
  • Monitoring and documenting children's progress and milestones.
  • Assisting with personal care, lunchtime supervision, and outdoor play setup.

Requirements

  • Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification (highly desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early phonics (e.g., Read Write Inc.).
  • A warm, creative, and energetic personality.

This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise. You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role. Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
