Overview
English Teacher – Maternity Cover (September Start) 4 Days per Week (Monday–Thursday) Secondary Setting – Years 7–11.
Axcis Education are currently recruiting for a specialist English Teacher to join a secondary setting from September on a part-time basis, working 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday). This is a maternity cover position expected to run until March/April, teaching English across Years 7–11.
Responsibilities
- Teaching English to students in Years 7–11
- Planning and delivering creative, engaging lessons
- Monitoring progress and supporting attainment
- Working collaboratively with the wider teaching team
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent English specialism essential
- Experience teaching secondary English across KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
