Pay: Β£92.63–£97.00 per day Axcis Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in St George, Bristol, to recruit a full-time Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant for the full academic year starting in September.

This rewarding role is based within the school's Early Years department, supporting children with a range of additional needs, particularly Autism and speech and language delays.

You'll play a key role in helping young learners develop their communication, confidence and independence during these vital early years of education.

About the Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND in Nursery and Reception
  • Support children with Autism, speech and language delays, and communication needs
  • Deliver engaging activities that encourage language development, social interaction and early learning
  • Work alongside teachers, the SENCO and external professionals to implement personalised support strategies
  • Help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
  • Encourage pupils to build confidence, independence and positive relationships with their peers
  • The Ideal Candidate
  • Has experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism and speech and language needs (desirable but not essential)
  • Has a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Is patient, caring and enthusiastic about supporting young children
  • Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
  • Is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential
