A fantastic opportunity for experienced and passionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school in Selhurst, Croydon, supporting pupils with additional needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support to pupils with a range of SEND needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
• Support learning through tailored activities, interventions, and one-to-one or small group sessions.
• Work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and other professionals to support pupils’ individual development plans.
• Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, communication, and wellbeing.
• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Ideal Candidate
• Previous experience supporting children with SEND within a school or educational setting.
• A caring, patient, and nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and support their individual needs.

• Compliance and Requirements
• The position involves safeguarding and requires an up-to-date DBS, or the ability to process one on your behalf, in line with Df E guidelines.
• As an applicant for roles involving work with children or vulnerable adults, this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 where applicable.
