Axcis Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in a range of welcoming primary schools across Chorley.
We're looking for caring, enthusiastic individuals to support children with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them access learning and achieve their full potential.
Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEND Teaching Assistant, or have relevant experience supporting children with additional needs, we'd love to hear from you.
These are full-time, term-time positions starting in September.
The roles are temporary and offered through Axcis Education to support the staffing needs of local schools.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will
- Support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups.
- Work alongside class teachers to deliver tailored learning activities and promote pupils' communication, confidence and independence.
- Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
Applicants should have
- At least 6 months' experience supporting children or young people with SEND in a professional or voluntary capacity.
- Candidates with extensive personal experience supporting individuals with SEND are also encouraged to apply.
- A patient, caring and proactive approach with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm during term time.
- The ability to travel to schools throughout the Chorley area.
- The right to work in the UK.
- Please note: Overseas-trained candidates are welcome to apply. However, applicants must have a minimum of 3 months' experience working in a UK school or education setting.
- Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
