We are seeking caring, dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support schools across Chorley and surrounding areas.

Opportunities include full-time, part-time, short-term, long-term and temp-to-perm roles in specialist schools, SEND units, and mainstream schools with SEND provisions.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including

• Autism (ASC)
• ADHD
• Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
• Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
• Complex needs and challenging behaviour

You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support, helping pupils achieve their academic, social and personal goals.

Requirements

• At least 6 months' experience working with SEND (UK-based or overseas experience with a minimum of 3 months in the UK for overseas applicants).
• Desirable but not essential: Teaching Assistant qualifications or class-based experience.
• Genuine passion for supporting children with SEND and complex needs.
• Availability to work between 8:30am and 4:00pm.
• Ability to reliably commute to Chorley and surrounding areas.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one (Axcis Education can support with the application).
