Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with ASD and SEMH, helping them to engage and succeed in their learning.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of individualised learning plans to support each student's unique needs.
- Applying behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques to encourage positive behaviour.
- Supporting students’ social and emotional development, promoting independence, confidence, and well-being.
- Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure effective, tailored support for each student.
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where all students feel supported.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children with ASD, SEMH, or other SEND needs (preferred but not essential).
- A strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and how to implement them effectively.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach when working with children with additional needs.
