About the Role
Axcis Education is expanding its dedicated and confident pool of candidates to deliver cover lessons in Bury Secondary Schools. This would be a great opportunity for candidates that want to gain real hands-on experience to support future roles in teaching. This role would suit candidates with a degree in a subject area or proven experience in the classroom. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the curriculum by delivering classes, delivering 1:1 intervention or group work.
Responsibilities
- Delivering lessons
- Leading or supporting small group interventions focused on core subjects
- Ensuring a safe and calm learning environment
- Removing barriers to learning
- Applying reasonable adjustments to support SEND learners
- Using de-escalation techniques and consistently applying the schools' reward and behaviour policy
- Encouraging positive peer interactions and building social communication skills
- Promoting emotional regulation and resilience through consistency and structured routines
