Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school located near Bromsgrove. Position Details
- Location: Bromsgrove area
- Start Date: September
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am β 4:00pm
- Pay Rate: Β£92.63 per day
- Contract Type: Full-time, ongoing
Key Responsibilities
- Support children and young people aged 4β19 years
- Work closely with pupils who have a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Deliver personalised support tailored to individual learning and care needs
- Encourage positive engagement in both classroom and wider school activities
- Foster strong, trusting relationships with students
- Support emotional regulation and wellbeing throughout the school day
- Help create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment
- Assist with personal care where required
About You
- Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly within SEND settings
- Confidence supporting pupils with additional or complex needs
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach
- Willingness to provide personal care support when required
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
- Full availability to work Monday to Friday during school hours
