Job Overview
Axcis Education is working closely with a SEND school in the Bromsgrove area to recruit teaching assistants starting in September.
The school caters to students aged 4‑17 with a range of additional needs including complex needs, PMLD, autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, SEMH difficulties and physical disabilities.
Classes are grouped by ability rather than age, so assistants may work with a mix of age groups.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to students, including assistance with medication and manual handling as required (not essential but an advantage).
- Support classroom activities and individual learning plans.
- Assist with the physical and emotional well‑being of students with additional needs.
- Work full‑time during school hours (08:30‑15:30, Monday‑Friday).
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young people with additional needs.
- Willingness to provide personal care.
- Education or childcare experience preferred but not essential.
- Driver’s licence is desirable given limited public transport.

Pay starts at £93 per day upwards, dependent on experience. The role is full‑time with long‑term potential and opportunities to become permanent.
Additional Requirements
