Responsibilities

• Working closely with children in an Early Years setting who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), providing tailored support both in the classroom and through play-based learning.
• Supporting children with a range of SEND, including autism, speech and language needs, developmental delay and complex learning needs.
• Delivering engaging, play-based activities that encourage learning and development.
• Working alongside teachers, therapists and other professionals to implement personalised learning plans.
• Promoting communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Creating a safe, positive and inclusive environment where every child can flourish.

What We're Looking For / Qualifications

• Have experience working with young children, particularly within Early Years or SEND.
• Are patient, compassionate and resilient.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Can build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Are proactive, flexible and eager to learn.
• Hold a relevant Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
• Have experience supporting children with autism or additional needs (advantageous).

This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
