Overview
Full-time, term-time only. £93–£98 per day. Full Academic Year. Axcis Education is working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in BS5, Bristol to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant for the full academic year starting in September. This is a role to support children with ADHD and Autism within one of the largest and most diverse primary schools in the area.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND, supporting both academic and personal development
- Assist in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes to learning
- Promote social interaction in line with the school’s values of kindness, respect and ambition
- Work collaboratively within a supportive and experienced staff team
The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience supporting children with ADHD, Autism or other SEND (preferred but not essential)
- Is patient, empathetic and passionate about making a difference
- Can adapt their approach to meet the needs of individual pupils
- Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) or has equivalent experience
- Is committed to supporting children to reach their full potential
