Axcis Education, a specialist SEND recruitment agency, is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Bristol. These full-time positions (8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday) are for ASAP starts and offer the chance to make a real impact on young children’s lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to children in Early Years, helping them develop social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Maintain a structured and nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported.
- Engage children through creative activities, such as play, art, music, and storytelling, to make learning fun and interactive.
- Assist with classroom management, encouraging positive behaviour and helping children follow routines.
- Collaborate with teachers to support children’s individual needs and development plans.
- Help children develop independence by encouraging self-help skills like tidying up and dressing themselves.
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Patience and Empathy: You will be working with young children, some of whom may face additional challenges, so a calm and understanding approach is key.
- Creativity and Enthusiasm: We need TAs who can inspire children through imaginative and engaging activities.
- Excellent Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with young children, teachers, and other staff is essential.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Every day in Early Years is different! We need candidates who can respond to changing needs and work in a dynamic environment.
- Teamwork: You’ll be working closely with class teachers and other staff members to ensure the children’s needs are met.
- Experience in Early Years or SEN Settings: Previous experience working with young children or those with Special Educational Needs is desirable, though not essential.
