Axcis Education are looking for an enthusiastic, personable teaching assistant to work in a local primary school, supporting a child on a one-to-one basis. The role is part-time and starts immediately, with the view of continuing through the next academic year. The school is located just outside Warwick and will involve supporting a child with autism and pathological demand avoidance (PDA) on a one-to-one basis. The school is passionate about community, promoting and including it across all aspects of school life, and is committed to providing a rich and diverse education where every child can flourish and blossom.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting a child on a 1:1 basis
  • Supporting a child with autism and PDA
  • Tailoring their approach to meet the needs of the child, getting to know their likes, dislikes and needs
  • Effectively liaise with staff members to provide all children with support

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • A caring and patient nature, with the ability to foster positive and meaningful relationships with all pupils
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Availability to work 8:30am – 4:00pm

Salary / Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour.
