Location: Bolton

Position: Teaching Assistant KS3/KS4 PRU

Contract Type: 9am-3pm Monday-Thursday and 9am-2pm on a Friday

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for fun, energetic and enthusiastic candidates to work with students aged 11-16 in a PRU. This is a great opportunity for candidates to develop their skills and be supported by a setting that believes in securing professional development for staff. This role would suit someone with a strong knowledge of Maths, who is energetic and has an enthusiastic personality. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a role model, mentor and daily support to the children you will be working with.
  • Support students with SEND to overcome social and academic barriers.
  • Support the class teacher in delivery of the curriculum.
  • Make reasonable adjustments to ensure students thrive in the setting.
  • Provide 1:1 or group support to identified students.
  • Be passionate about supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Provide support advice and guidance.
  • Promote independence in line with the settings policy.

Requirements:

  • Energetic and bubbly personality.
  • Knowledge of SEND and the impact it may have on students.
  • Desire to make a difference to the lives of young people.
