Axcis is currently looking to recruit additional SEND TAs to support an 11‑19 provision for children who have a range of learning difficulties and additional needs. The school caters for up to 330 students with Moderate, Severe and Complex learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Conditions, hearing and visual impairments, physical disabilities, and social, emotional and mental health needs. It is a smaller than average secondary provision that specializes in MLD, PMLD, Autism, ADHD and SEMH difficulties.
Responsibilities:- Be a role model, mentor and daily support to the child/ren you will be working with.
- Support students with SEND to overcome social and academic barriers.
- Support the class teacher in delivery of the curriculum.
- Make reasonable adjustments to ensure students thrive in the setting.
- Provide 1:1 or group support to identified students.
- Be passionate about supporting students with SEND.
- Provide support advice and guidance.
- Promote independence in line with the settings policy.
- You have an energetic and bubbly personality.
- You have knowledge of SEND and the impact it may have on students.
- You want to make a difference to the lives of young people.
