Position: KS3/KS4 School Sports Coach (Sport's TA)

Location: Bolton

Contract type: Full time - Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Pay rate: £105+ (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a role model, mentor, and daily support to the children you work with.
  • Support students with SEND to overcome social and academic barriers.
  • Support students on trips off‑site such as Peak District Days out, gyms and leisure centres.
  • Make reasonable adjustments to ensure students thrive in the setting.
  • Provide 1:1 or group support to identified students, using sports to remove barriers to learning.
  • Use knowledge of sports/fitness to create engaging activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience or qualifications of coaching children and young people.
  • Passion for sports/fitness.
  • Knowledge of SEND and its impact on students.
  • Experience supporting male students (preferred).
  • Willingness to develop experience working in schools.
