Responsibilities
- Provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Build positive, trusting relationships to help students engage with learning.
- Assist in developing and delivering personalised support plans and interventions.
- Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behaviour strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams.
- Support students during lessons, transitions, and throughout the school day.
- Record progress and contribute to ongoing assessments and reviews.
Requirements
- Experience working with primary aged children who have SEMH needs or behavioural challenges.
- A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour management.
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
- Ability to remain resilient and solution-focused in a dynamic environment.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update service.
