Overview
Axcis is recruiting additional SEND Teaching Assistants for an 11‑19 provision catering to students with a range of learning difficulties and additional needs. The school can accommodate up to 330 students with Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties, Complex Needs, Autism Spectrum Conditions, Hearing and Visual Impairments, Physical Disabilities, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
Responsibilities
- Be a role model, mentor and daily support for the children you work with.
- Support students with SEND to overcome social and academic barriers.
- Assist the class teacher in the delivery of the curriculum.
- Make reasonable adjustments to ensure students thrive.
- Provide 1:1 or group support to identified students.
- Promote independence in line with the school’s policy.
