Axcis Education are looking for a teaching assistant to be based in a primary school in South Birmingham. The school is located in Balsall Heath and caters to students aged 4 to 11 years. It is well‑accessible by public transport and has on‑site parking.

The role will be on a long‑term basis, initially for the summer term with the possibility of a permanent contract in the autumn. You will primarily support KS1 students with SEND and challenging behaviours on a 1:1 and small‑group basis. The position requires a start date immediately, working full‑time from 08:30 am to 03:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications and classroom experience are not essential, but are a big advantage. You must have experience supporting children with special educational needs and challenging behaviours on a professional or personal basis.

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short‑term and long‑term assignments in addition to permanent positions. You must be suitably qualified for the position and be prepared to attend a face‑to‑face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability. Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
