Axcis Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Birmingham, starting in September and continuing through the academic year.

About the role

This is a full‑time Teaching Assistant position, working Monday to Friday (8:30 am – 4:00 pm). Pay rate: £14.25 per hour.

You will:

  • Support children aged 4–11 years in a primary school setting
  • Work with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Provide personalised, one‑to‑one and small group support
  • Build positive, meaningful relationships with students
  • Help create a calm and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements

  • A passion for supporting young people
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
  • Availability for full‑time work (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm)

Axcis Education is an employment agency offering temporary supply work for daily, short‑term and long‑term assignments in addition to permanent positions. You must be suitably qualified and be prepared to attend a face‑to‑face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role. Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
