We are seeking Year 1 teaching assistants for 1-to‑1 support in a mainstream primary school in Erdington. You will work with students accessing the mainstream classroom who have academic potential and SEND needs, either from education or from transferable residential, support or care backgrounds.
Responsibilities and Schedule: This role is Monday‑to‑Friday, 08:30 to 15:30 during term time. It starts immediately and runs for a minimum period ending July 2026, with potential extension as children progress. Full support from the class teacher and SENCo, including guidance on planned interventions and support packages.
Compensation: You will be paid at a daily rate of £93 (PAYE).
Requirements:
- Full UK right to work.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience working with young people with SEND needs.
Additional Information: This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.
