Full-time • Term-time Only • Full Academic Year Pay: £92.63-£97.00 per day Axcis Education is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Easton, Bristol, to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with Autism. This rewarding role begins in September and will continue for the full academic year. This is an excellent opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with one pupil, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and thrive both academically and socially within a supportive school environment.

About the Role
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with Autism throughout the school day
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil's individual strengths and needs
  • Support the development of communication, emotional regulation and social interaction skills
  • Use structured routines, visual supports and positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and parents to deliver consistent, personalised support
  • Promote independence, confidence and positive participation in classroom activities
The Ideal Candidate
  • Has experience supporting children with Autism or other additional needs (desirable but not essential)
  • Is patient, calm and nurturing, with a positive and flexible approach
  • Can build a strong, trusting relationship with a child through consistency and encouragement
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Is passionate about helping every child reach their full potential
