Position: ASD Teaching AssistantLocation: Wandsworth, London Salary: £90-95 per day Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Wandsworth, London. This role requires a candidate who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), enabling them to access education and achieve their potential. Responsibilities: •Provide one-to-one and group support to students with ASD, addressing their educational, social, and emotional needs. • Collaborate with classroom teachers to differentiate instruction and create an inclusive learning environment. • Implement individualised learning plans and behavioural strategies, as directed by the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and other professionals. • Utilise a range of communication strategies, including visual aids and assistive technology, to engage students. • Monitor and report student progress, maintaining comprehensive records. • Foster a safe and supportive atmosphere that encourages independence and self-confidence. • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance understanding of ASD and effective support techniques. Qualifications: • Experience working with children with ASD or related special educational needs is essential. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain patient and calm in challenging situations. • A willingness to learn and adapt to different educational approaches and tools. • Enhanced DBS clearance will be required for this role.
