Axcis Education are currently recruiting for a confident and organised School Administrator to join a mainstream secondary school in Skelmersdale. This is a full‑time position working Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Managing reception and visitor enquiries
  • Answering phones and responding to emails
  • Supporting attendance and pupil records
  • Using school systems such as SIMS (preferred but not essential)
  • General administrative duties including filing, data entry and correspondence
  • Providing support to staff, pupils and parents where required

Ideal Candidate

  • Has previous experience working within a school office
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office and school‑based systems
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Can work efficiently in a busy environment
  • Is professional, friendly and reliable

Eligibility and Compliance

Applicants must be suitably qualified for the position, provide an up‑to‑date DBS, and meet other mandatory compliance checks in line with the DfE guidelines. If the role involves working with children or vulnerable adults, it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
