Job Title: 1:1 Support Assistant – All-Through Special School Location: Sutton Hours: 9:00am – 3:45pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Start Date: September 2025 About the Role We are seeking a positive and proactive 1:1 Support Assistant to work in a friendly all-through special school in Sutton. You will support a student with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH behavioural needs, providing 1:1 support both in the classroom and during corridor supervision. This role requires someone confident to use their own initiative, experienced in managing challenging behaviours, and comfortable working closely with pupils who need additional emotional and behavioural support. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH behavioural needs. Supervise corridors and support safe movement around the school. Assist in the classroom to support learning and behaviour management. Use initiative to respond calmly and effectively to challenging situations. Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider support team. The Ideal Candidate Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or similar behavioural needs. Classroom and behavioural experience essential. Confident in supervising pupils and managing behaviour positively. Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach.
