We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Administrator to join our Commercial claims team based in Bolton. In this key role, you’ll be a pivotal referral point within our Administration team, ensuring seamless operations with clear handling instructions and proactive stakeholder engagement. Your expertise will be essential in supporting and mentoring both onshore and offshore team members, fostering their personal development while resolving complex issues. As a trusted deputy to the Team Leader, you’ll play a crucial role in driving our administration objectives and targets forward.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You’ll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means in attendance at our Bolton office. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide support to team members, ensuring operations run smoothly.
  • Track and manage the volume of incoming claims payments efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on payment logistics, issues, and queries.
  • Handle and resolve complaints and escalations where necessary following procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and training needs, working with the Team Leader to implement solutions.
  • Be point of contact for Shared Operations (AXAGO) for technical queries and training needs, including work audits as needed.
  • Ensure team processes and procedure documents are up to date for both onshore and offshore administration.
  • Support the Team Leader in implementing team plans to meet KPIs and objectives.

What you’ll bring:

  • Previous insurance/claims experience preferable.
  • Ability to assess and support performance development needs within the team and coach/mentor individuals.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, the ability to liaise with internal teams and external brokers effectively.
  • Ability to proactively manage tasks and deliver outcomes.
  • Previous experience providing support to other team members desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in IT applications such as Visio, Word and Excel.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
