The successful applicant will join the UK Credit Control Messaging COE at a particularly exciting time. A newly established team, the focus would be to power the business faster and improve credit control service delivery on behalf of UK underwriters. The role will entail significant collaboration both internally and externally and will offer the candidate an opportunity to learn about the insurance industry and AXA XL.
The primary purpose of the Credit Control Query Analyst- Messaging COE role is to support and contribute towards the clearance unallocated Underwriters Signing Message (USM) by performing root cause analysis and finding appropriate resolution, whilst developing the necessary skillset to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
The role includes credit control processes within the Lloyds Bureau and Company Bureau markets, providing accurate and efficient processing of queries, with quality service levels, ensuring the end-to-end process is fully compliant in accordance with AXA XL guidelines.
You will be based in our newly refurbished Ipswich office; and be part of Smart Working initiative offering a hybrid way of working, combining both remote and office working.
What you’ll be doing:
- Reviewing unallocated USMs on source system (the Frame); developing knowledge of bureau business; retrieving data/documents from DXC bureau systems for root cause analysis; building broker relationships as required.
- Liaise with underwriting assistants and policy management teams to ensure query resolution and data accuracy.
- Getting more detailed know-how on the specific lines of business written at AXA XL to understand the documents you read and analyse.
- Liaise with ESS Credit Control team to ensure timely cash allocation.
- Work with and build relationships with underwriting support functions ensure adherence to common standards across the business.
- Production of operational and business reports on a pre-defined frequency.
- Using workflow and time-tracking tools to ensure proper work organization and reporting.
- Adhere to Credit Control service offering (and associated procedures) following stipulated steps, selecting the applicable method of local MO/AXA Insurance UW and/or Credit Control equivalent contact, alongside broker contact and escalation to line manager.
- Responsible for seeing opportunities to improve processes and providing suggestions.
- Ensure competence across all accounting platforms and systems utilised by the Credit Control.
- Other ad-hoc duties and projects.
As the tasks relate to the business placed in the London Insurance Market, you will be trained to fully understand the unique aspects of Lloyd’s and London Company Market processing. You will report to the Messaging Team Leader, based in Ipswich.
What you’ll bring:
- Team player, capable of self-learning and easily able to assimilate within a team environment.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel with the ability to use VLookups/Pivots/formulae daily without guidance.
- Computer literate - experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams would be advantageous.
- Good Knowledge of Insurance / Accounting would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of bureau business would be advantageous.
- Rational approach to complex data.
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills, and an ability to develop pragmatic solutions to problems.
- Accurate and exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent proactive organisation skills and ability to plan and prioritise work, using their own initiative and keeping one step ahead.
