This is a unique and challenging role for an experienced and motivated individual. As Team Leader you will be responsible for both leading and mentoring a high-performing team while also actively participating in the day-to-day tasks performed by your team members. This hands-on approach will enable you to maintain a deep understanding of operational challenges, provide effective coaching, and drive continuous improvement within the team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of UA’s working on Marine & Aerospace
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, and address employee concerns
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment
  • Identify and address training needs within the team
  • Monitor team performance against key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss performance, address challenges, and share best practices
  • Actively participate in the day-to-day tasks performed by team members
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all team deliverables
  • Identify and resolve operational issues and elevate concerns as needed
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
  • Ensure high levels of Client & Broker satisfaction
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders

You will report to the Specialty Operations Manager.

What you’ll bring

  • Attention to detail will be required when dealing with accounts and clear communication needed when liaising with stakeholders & team members.
  • Experience of commercial business in the UK and understanding of Policy documentation/Premium allocations and taxes.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with the stakeholders within the business
  • Demonstrate commitment to providing the highest level of service to clients/brokers/AXA Companies
  • Have a positive approach, even during difficult periods of change & ensure the team are on board
  • Recognise work priorities and organise time effectively, raise any potential delays, and ensure team are performing at their best
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel with the ability to use VLookups/Pivots/formula on a daily basis without guidance
  • Computer literate – experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams would be advantageous
