As the HR Business Partner (HRBP), you’ll be responsible for delivering both strategic and operational initiatives to the allocated client groups. Emphasis is on change management and implementation, Talent Management, Organisation Design & Workforce Planning, Compensation, Culture & Engagement, and Senior Leader collaboration.
In this role, the HRBP will coach Leadership and Management across a range of HR activities thereby enabling the attraction, development & retention of “best-in-class” talent. Building a cohesive partnership with all functions within HR, including Global HRBP teams, Talent Management, Inclusion and Reward Centers of Excellence is imperative.
What you’ll be doing
What Will Your Essential Responsibilities Include
Strategic Partnering
- Understand the strategic direction of the business, operating in close partnership with the UK senior leadership and Global HR Business Partners to drive the UK & Lloyd’s business strategy.
- Partner with UK based senior leaders and managers, to design and deliver on a range of people focused initiatives that support the business strategy, such as; Organisational development and change, robust talent management, targeted attraction strategies, culture, learning & development and inclusion and diversity.
- Challenge, and coach business leaders on how to engage and retain critical and high potential colleagues, address people issues and build leadership capabilities effectively. Identify skills gaps and develop learning strategies to enhance employee capabilities.
- Maintain close alignment and partnership with global HRBPs to implement strategic initiatives in the UK.
- Adopt a data mindset to gather and consolidate feedback relating to staff engagement through pulse and health of talent analytics. Develop bespoke solutions with the senior leaders to address to promote a positive, inclusive and high performing workplace culture. Utilise this to realise areas of high potential.
- In conjunction with senior leadership, build and continuously develop Organisational capability and skills through proactive and structured talent identification, succession and workforce planning. You will develop and deploy appropriate attraction strategies and mobility that will support the same.
Cyclical People Planning and Operations
- Partner with Leaders to drive effective workforce planning and disciplined headcount management, making quality talent decisions, to attract top talent in the London Market.
- Manage some employment relations case work in accordance with AXA XL’s custom, policies and practices. Exercising key stakeholder management skills. Balancing organisational risk with against commercial requirements.
- Work in close partnership with global HR Business Partners and regional Centers of Excellence (CoE) to drive regional and local policies and procedures, adapting to local requirements and constraints.
- Contribute positively to the HR function, through building effective partnerships across the function, and supporting globally driven projects and activities as needed.
- Working closely and collaborate with the broader HR team to deliver a trusted and valued HR brand together, embedding inclusion across the organisation.
You will report to the Head of HR Business Partnering, UK and Lloyd’s.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
- Preferable Graduate degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field or relevant experience.
- Exceptional communication skills to keep multiple stakeholders appraised and expectation management skills are critical.
- Effective influencing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven experience of working in a fast-paced environment, leading projects and cultivating relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- Regarded as an expert internally and externally in their field.
- Innovative thinker and solutions oriented.
- Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Employment relations experience is preferable.
- CIPD qualification is preferable.
