We have a new opportunity for a Business Analyst to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Reporting into an assignment manager, and working closely with one of our project managers, you’ll undertake business analysis ensuring business and stakeholder requirements are defined and captured across systems, processes, people, data and journeys to ensure an end to end solution design is proposed and in place for initially two projects within our risk and regulatory portfolio.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You’ll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week away from home by September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing:

Ensuring all change requirements are defined end to end and that the impact on systems, people, processes, data and journeys are understood, documented and shared

Influencing and supporting business users in being able to define the requirements rather than the solution needed

Conducting comprehensive process mapping exercises to capture and analyse both current (as-is) and future (to-be) states, ensuring alignment with business objectives and facilitating smooth transition to desired operational models

Managing the development, distribution and baseline approval of all communication related to end to end business requirements and functional design

Managing change in business requirements throughout the project, ensuring all change management activity takes place and impacts of change are fully documented and understood

Ensuring end to end requirements analysis and functionality is compliant with company standards, as well as business and technical target architectures

Identifying and progressing any synergies across projects, programmes or releases to ensure that change is delivered in the most effective way

Extensive experience as a business analyst within large, complex IT environments

Well-developed facilitation, communication, listening, coaching and documentation skills

Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills

Ability to synthesise large volumes of information into insightful, business analysis and recommendations

Working knowledge of IT development lifecycles, data management theory and process design methods

Proven track record of successfully applying business analysis techniques within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, adapting to the specific project requirements and team dynamics

Experience in using relevant tooling such as Visio, Miro, and Azure DevOps to visualise processes, collaborate with stakeholders, and manage requirements and development activities effectively

Proven experience using an end-to-end business analysis and design framework

A self-starter, able to work across large groups of stakeholders, take direction and shape the work to get going at pace and deliver quickly

Experience of working in a regulatory environment is beneficial
