Overview

The Chief Security Officer is a critical position within AXA Partners to foster a culture of securing information assets, make informed decisions on cyber and resiliency risk, and protect clients, partners and employees. The role oversees all security matters from IT security to operational resilience and physical security for the worldwide AXA Partners Group (34 countries, 9,500 FTE). The role reports to the AXA Partners Global CRO (AXA Partners ExCom member).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Define and implement the AXA Partners security strategy aligned with AXA Group and AXA Partners objectives.
  • Develop a security model based on the Group Security Operating Model.
  • Collaborate with Group Security and other stakeholders to ensure security (Information Security, Operational Resilience and Physical Security) is relevant, cost‑effective, and delivered in accordance with the Group Security Strategy.
  • Serve as an expert advisor to senior management in the implementation and maintenance of security.
  • Ensure local compliance with security standards, instructions and strategic initiatives; ensure local legal, regulatory and commercial security compliance.
  • Oversee the global security strategy for the entity, considering local regulations and specifics.
  • Define concrete actions to execute the security strategy and monitor achievement.
  • Achieve security targets set by Group Security.
  • Identify and assess security threats and risks; recommend mitigation options and document in clear, business‑friendly language.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technology, risks and industry trends; assess impacts and recommend mitigation or prioritization of projects and investments.
  • Escalate needs to redirect investment or change practices to mitigate critical risks and ensure compliance.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes to ensure quality and relevance of security services.
  • Monitor and maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems; manage security incidents (analysis, tracking and communications).
  • Undertake assurance to validate effectiveness of local security activities and controls.
  • Promote a culture of security and raise awareness.
  • Oversee the execution of security projects and development of auditable processes to enforce consistency within the local entity.
  • Identify and implement coordinated responses to security audit and compliance issues.
  • Develop, track and control local security budgets in agreement with the CRO and the Corporate CSO.
