The Finance Assistant will be responsible for the processing and effective management of supplier and personal expense invoices, accruals processing, prepayments, Balance Sheet reconciliations ensuring adherence to policy and championing efficient, consistent and best practice processes across the UK and European branches.
What You\’ll Be Doing
AXA Partners UK&I operates through different legal entities, and you will support the finance team and liaise with the underwriting and commercial teams to actively control and manage all key elements of Cost/Technical accounting.
This role will support the Accounts Payable team and the Expenses Team during the implementation of COUPA project providing the necessary capability uplift to meet current demands and support future business growth.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Be
- Checking and accurate coding of invoices and expense claims
- Processing payments
- Posting Direct Debits and Standing Order vouchers in the system
- Upkeeping Creditor accounts
- Timely payment of expenses and complaint payments
- Reconciliation of supplier accounts
- Processing Accruals and Prepayments
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Resolving queries quickly and efficiently
- Monthly bank reconciliation of expense related accounts
What You\’ll Bring
- Experience in expenses/accounts payable environment
- Understanding of double entry
- Knowledge of Trial Balance interrogation
- Excellent team player with ability to work on own initiative
- Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills at all levels and interpersonal skills
- Strong workload management and prioritization skills
- Microsoft systems experience (excel at intermediate level as a minimum)
- Sage Intact & PeopleSoft experience an advantage
