We are seeking a future Financial Controller to report to our Local Head of FMCG, as part of AXA IM Alts Real Assets.

Role overview:

AXA IM Real Assets is looking for a Financial Controller to join their London-based Financial Management and Controlling Team. The main responsibilities include managing revenue streams, accounting, tax, service charge, treasury, reporting, and governance of various real estate investment structures in the UK and abroad.

The role involves coordinating investor and regulatory reporting, monitoring investment performance, and collaborating with Fund Management, Asset Management, and Development Teams. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, along with adaptability to evolving functions and system upgrades (project SHIFT).

Responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with investors: meetings, presenting results, answering questions
  • Supporting decision-making discussions with MB and IC members
  • Ensuring good governance with directors and CoSec
  • Implementing SHIFT protocols with third-party service providers
  • Supporting investment acquisition/disposal strategies and external debt setups
  • Preparing management and statutory accounts, ensuring tax compliance
  • Overseeing budgeting and maintaining Fund Models for performance reporting
  • Monitoring working capital and cash flow to meet investor needs
  • Debt covenant monitoring and compliance reporting
  • Managing property service charges and tenant arrears in collaboration with Asset Management

Qualifications and experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent with post-qualification experience
  • Experience with audits and working with auditors
  • Debt financing experience
  • Knowledge of overseas corporate structures and tax implications
  • Experience in real estate asset management
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills, familiarity with Yardi and Anaplan preferred
