Development Analyst

As a future Development Analyst, you will report to Head of Development UK, and you will be part of AXA IM Alts – Real Assets.

A rare opportunity to join one of Europe's most active development teams within an industry leading Real Estate Investment Manager, covering multiple commercial & residential sectors. The primary focus of the position is on development analysis and reporting across all existing UK projects and potential acquisitions. Seeking an individual with a keen interest in development who wants to learn more about the wider development management role and take on more responsibility in time.
Assist in the ongoing analysis of development performance & new acquisitions, working closely with the Transactions, Fund Management and Finance teams in London and Paris:
- Develop and maintain a detailed working knowledge of the Projects required
- Preparation of business plan / investment proposals
- Prepare, optimise and maintain financial models in Excel
- Reconcile and maintain development budget and invoice process
- Monitoring External Valuations (in collaboration with development project lead)
- Analysing key development management, leasing, acquisition and disposal decisions
- Maintain the financial model with monthly updates to reflect progress (actual versus forecast)
- Preparing reports for internal decision making and Investment Committee
- Preparing reporting documents and presentations for/to Fund Management, potential Co-Investors and JV-partners
- Prepare third-party lender analysis, reporting and loan drawdown
- Assist with project supervision to deliver inline with budget and programme
- Marketing and leasing strategy analysis
- Observance of the environmental policy of AXA IM Real Assets
- Customer orientated behaviour in order to support the main business of the company
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned from time to time
The substantial part of the role will be focused on 50 Fenchurch St, along with 63 St Mary Axe and future acquisitions in UK/Ireland.
Seeking an individual with a keen interest in development who wants to learn more about the wider development management role and take on more responsibility in time.

Your qualifications and experience:
- University educated, Real Estate, Finance or Engineering degree preferred
- RICS Qualification is beneficial
- Industry experience with a demonstrable interest in and core understanding of real estate development
Your knowledge and skills:
- Accomplished in complex Excel modelling for development and investment
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to learn quickly
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills including PowerPoint presentation experience
- Good interpersonal skills
- Creative thinking and capability to develop innovative modelling solutions
- Ability to work efficiently in a team in an international and fast-paced environment
