The role-holder will support and enhance the impact investment team's private equity investment processes and portfolio management process in line with our objective to deliver market rate returns alongside intentional and measurable impact across environmental and social themes. Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Conduct research on relevant Climate Tech investment universe including new themes, companies and opportunity sets
- Help produce investment and valuation analysis to contribute to investment memos written by senior investment professionals
- Data collection and analysis from our portfolio funds and direct investments
- Reporting of impact and financial performance to clients
- Work with impact and financial databases and analysis systems to support the investment research team's broader efforts
- Support continued evolution of impact management system to align with best practice
- Provide support to the Impact Investing platform with a focus on Climate Tech investments
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned from time-to-time, e.g. assist in creating impact investment universes, assist with client marketing and RFP responses, write industry thought pieces etc.
Your Profile
Education/Qualifications:
- Undertaking a bachelor's or advanced degree
- Degree in finance, social sciences, development related fields
Skills and Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrated interest in impact investing, sustainable investing and private equity/venture capital
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and valuation methodologies
- An aptitude to quickly get familiar and iterate on valuation models and research/company data
- Fluency in English, other language a bonus
- Excellent writing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (essential) and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage databases and reporting tools used to drive decision-making and portfolio analysis
- Strong competency in data analysis - collecting and managing data, data organization/interpretation skills
- Strong project management skills, ability to take ownership of processes and service delivery
- Proven ability to multi-task and produce quality work within tight deadlines
