The Application Analyst’s role is to ensure optimal system availability for internal client’s applications and manage deliverables to improve the quality of services. Your role and responsibilities will include:
- Application support
- Provide daily support on Simcorp Dimension, Order management tool used by Investment teams.
- Undertake daily operational checks, investigate, and resolve any problems identified.
- Provide functional and technical support (application settings, assistance, trainings).
- User Account creation for various applications.
- Ensure appropriate change management processes are implemented to benefit users.
- Produce user and functional procedure guides.
- Communicate with the users on system availability / future evolutions.
- Coordinate the work of the different IT teams to ensure the best level of support.
- Ensure compliance with all information security policies.
- Develop and deploy processes that will ensure Level 1 security controls are in place for all dedicated systems.
- Implement and operate regular end user activity monitoring for the given application.
- Follow‑up and management of tools & services enhancements.
- Incident and Change order management.
- Performing Monthly Application reconciliations for auditing purposes.
- Production of Business KPIs, monthly dashboards and weekly incident reports.
- Analyse, compare and coordinate data from different sources.
- Correct and amend historical data in FactSet.
- Integrate transactions in SimCorp.
- Configure and reset end users accounts in Global 1 and rerunning daily reports.
- Manage timesheets/ and support rota for Team.
- In partnership with the business identify, lead, design and implement enhancements and improvements on client’s applications.
- Gather business enhancements requirements from users and business teams.
- Support the understanding of the client’s needs in line with the business strategic developments, AXA IM strategy and long‑term Operating Model.
- Management of projects/initiatives related to Small Scales Enhancements (SSE).
- Analyse existing processes.
- Gather business requirements.
- Write functional specifications.
- Contribute to the testing phase for new versions and/or new tools.
Qualifications
Education
- Studying Computing, IT, Business, Finance on a 4‑year University degree with 3rd year work placement included.
Skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a team within an international and fast‑moving environment.
- Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Analytical ability.
- Creative thinking, capability to develop innovative solutions and challenge consensus.
- Fluency in English.
- Good IT knowledge (FIX, SQL, Cloud Azure, databases).
- Ability to understand / code in python – desirable.
Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as you will be in constant contact with various internal/external teams.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- The ability to interact with non‑technical users to understand their problems.
