We are currently hiring a PI Fraud Investigator on our SIU Team, based in our Belfast office! Reporting to the SIU Team Leader, you'll deter, detect and investigate fraud in all areas of the business, focused in claims. This role is in a sensitive area, and all investigations are to be kept confidential.

You'll work the majority of your week away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our head office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you'll be doing:

  • Review Red Flag Referrals from claims handlers within the agreed service level, giving guidance for further enquiries, as necessary.
  • Proactively investigate potential fraud in claims (PI, ADTPD, Home, Farm, SME as required) in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure, at times using your own initiative.
  • Manage cases to conclusion and deal with customers as necessary, which may involve formal interviewing, to achieve appropriate outcome.
  • Maintain SIU Case Management System and relevant spreadsheets for datamining and recording fraud savings achieved.
  • Prepare cases for court as required, instructing panel solicitors & legal counsel to secure the best outcome for AXA.
  • Deliver excellence in customer service, both internally and externally, maintaining an appropriate professional attitude when dealing with Customers, Third Parties, Suppliers and Solicitors and dealing effectively with referrals & complaints.
  • Maintain relationships within AXA and with external service providers.
  • Investigate potential fraud in other areas of AXA as required.
  • Provide reports and updates as required.
  • Undertake department and cross functional projects as necessary.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in handling personal injury claims [Essential]
  • Experience of motor damage & property claims would be beneficial.
  • Insurance Qualifications [Desirable]
  • 3rd Level qualification [Desirable]
  • Inquisitive and enquiring mindset and passionate about fraud.
  • Knowledge of current insurance fraud types.
  • Familiar with U/W principles, claims handling procedures, SIU investigation procedures & AXA products.
  • Working knowledge of the legal jurisdiction in which you operate desirable.
  • Good PC and system skills.
  • Consistently deliver agreed objectives.
  • A structured approach to work with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong decision-making, influencing and communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Working knowledge of Customer and Data Protection Guidelines.

This role is an allocated Controlled Function under Fitness & Probity Regime, which means the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced level of background screening requirements. You can find more information on this as a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in the United Kingdom. This recruitment campaign will be used to support permanent, temporary and/or extension for any upcoming similar positions.
