Are you passionate about Finance and Financial Control? If you’ve got a technical mindset, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail, this could be an exciting opportunity for you. We’re looking for an experienced professional to join our Financial Operations Commission team, to ensure Intermediaries are set up correctly on our system and commission payments are timely and accurate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and accurate technical support and guidance to internal teams and intermediaries.
  • Maintain team mailbox within agreed service levels ensuring complex queries are investigated fully.
  • Provide support to internal AXA teams and intermediaries by providing accurate information over the phone.
  • Review and authorise colleague’s work ensuring accurate and timely work is produced in the team.
  • Deliver month end requirements within agreed timeframes, including all postings, commentary, reconciliations and reporting.
  • Provide and develop meaningful and relevant management information (MI) to the business.
  • Maintain daily controls for commission payments providing accurate documentation, evidence and commentary for financial controls.
  • Regularly review processes and controls, ensuring controls are robust and that documentation reflects current processes.

Work Arrangements

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Relevant experience of working within an operational finance environment or insurance sector.
  • Financial control and governance mindset.
  • Advanced level of MS Excel.
  • Good working knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Ability to analyse complex financial information.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom. This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre‑employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
